A great week of community events in Plympton

What a great week we had last week, we attended several events in Plympton, engaging with local residents, discussing any issues/concerns and giving advice. 

Thursday 27th November  - Plympton Academy Careers Fair - Talking to all the different age groups about careers within Devon and Cornwall Police Force, either front line or many of the behind the scenes roles. Many questions answered and uniform/hats tried on!

All the students were very engaging and we also gave out advice about the dangers of drugs and general safety advice.  

Saturday 29th November  - St Mary's Church “Light The Way” This was a event with speakers discussing Domestic Abuse, also those telling their own personal stories which was both moving and inspirational. We provided leaflets with support details and Clare's Law guidance (Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme). 

Sunday 30th November  - Christmas Lights switch on - Many stickers and colouring sheets given out as well as trying on hats and sitting in the Police car with the blue lights on! It was great to see so many locals and visitors coming to see us.
